INTELLIGENT TIRE TECHNOLOGY: TPMS and beyond - Tire labelling, test methods and implementation - Innovative tire materials

Diese in Englisch abgehaltene Fach-Konferenz wird für alle Experten und Fachkräfte initiiert, die sich mit neuesten Entwicklungen im Bereich der Reifen und Reifentechnologien beschäftigen.

Europe is following the US: TPMS are becoming mandatory from November 2012 on. The search is for reliable and cost-efficient solutions and the battle between direct and indirect solutions is not decided yet. Strongly related to the issue of TPMS is the discussion of further functionalities of the tire sensor – the search for the intelligent tire .

Another main challenge for the tire industry remains the reduction of rolling noise, rolling resistance, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. New innovative materials play an important role in reducing rolling noise and resistance while maintaining a good wet grip and driving performance. In this context the EU legislation on tire labelling, coming into effect also in November 2012.

At the 7th International Congress Intelligent Tire Technology you will hear presentations, first-hand experiences and best practices on the following issues:

  • Current TPMS EU regulatory framework and international recommendations
  • Development process of indirect Tire Pressure Monitoring from an OEM perspective
  • TPMS: Current challenges and future demands
  • Experimental characterisation of the dynamic behaviour of rolling tires for noise and comfort applications
